Start with maintenance, not decoration
Choose how the testimonial will be updated after launch.
A testimonial can be typed directly into a page, placed in a CMS block or loaded through an embeddable widget. All three can work. The practical difference is what happens when you approve a new story or need to remove an old one.
Maximum page control
Useful for one carefully chosen quote. Every change requires editing and publishing the website again.
Editor-managed content
Useful when the site already has a reusable testimonial collection. Check how the CMS handles mobile layout and attribution.
One maintained source
Paste a small snippet once, then manage approved testimonials in the testimonial service rather than the page editor.
TestiFollow creates an isolated iframe through embed.js, automatically resizes it and shows approved, consented testimonials only. Learn how the testimonial widget works.
Match the format to the amount of proof and available space.
| Format | Choose it when | Avoid it when |
|---|---|---|
| Single | One story directly supports the nearby offer or CTA. | The quote needs several others to make sense. |
| Grid | Visitors should scan several experiences together. | The section is narrow or every quote is long. |
| Carousel | Space is compact and visitors can browse manually. | Critical information would be hidden in later slides. |
| Wall of Love | You want a dedicated public testimonial destination. | You only have one or two relevant stories. |
There is no universally correct format. Use the testimonial display guide for quote length, identity, rating and mobile advice.
Place proof beside the decision it supports.
Explain the overall experience
Use a small selection covering the product, service or relationship—not a full archive.
Address buying uncertainty
Choose a quote about value, setup or fit. Keep the pricing information visible.
Match the exact offer
Use testimonials from customers who bought or used that specific thing.
Keep one relevant story close
A focused Single testimonial can support the next step without becoming a distraction.
Use the embed method your platform officially supports.
The exact editor step differs, so use the dedicated platform guide rather than forcing generic instructions:
- Add testimonials to WordPress
- Embed testimonials in Webflow
- Add testimonials to Framer
- Embed testimonials in Wix
- Add testimonials to Carrd
Those pages explain current custom-code or Embed-element requirements. TestiFollow does not claim native plugins for these platforms.
Check the page before and after publishing.
- Confirm the customer approved public use.
- Preview desktop and a narrow mobile viewport.
- Check names, roles, company labels and image alt text.
- Keep the quote readable without relying on star graphics alone.
- Verify the widget loads over HTTPS and does not create horizontal overflow.
- Review the selection periodically so outdated stories do not linger.
